URBAN LIVE #6

MR OKESTER es lógicamente un músico callejero multi-instrumentista que hace un tiempo tocaba en la Calle Florida de Buenos Aires. Hace varios años que está viajando por el mundo con sus instrumentos y lo que gana en la calle le da para, por ejemplo, alquilarse un departamento en Recoleta, comer y vivir en general.

Su nombre es Sebastian Uul, y su nombre artístico Mr Orkester (o “El Hombre Orquesta”)

When Mr. Orkester comes to town and turns the street into a dancefloor it is hard not to laugh or smile. This old school one-man-band wants you to turn off your ipod for just a second, and stop to tune in to the magic of rocking and loud, but still all-acoustic and pure live music when it’s there, right in front of you. There is no need for a middleman, ’cause this Norwegian orchestra brings entertainment directly to the the people. The street is a stage as good as any, but Mr. Orkester is ofcourse reliable not to say no when invited to make the ice brake at a party, play at art-openings, exhibitions, or to give a more conventional concert. Playing with this setup for 1 1/2 years the experience is this: Every situation can take a little bit of music, but a lot of music is always the best. Coming soon to a street near you!
